I’ve recently been given the opportunity to become an ambassador for Sturdy By Design and I’m so pleased to be able to represent such a fantastic brand.
I’ve always been into my fitness after serving 9 years in the armed forces with the Royal Corp if Signals.
I left the Army in 2012 and struggled massively with my transition into civilian life I became depressed and soon found myself overweight and unhappy with my life.
One day while deadlifting in the gym one of the staff pointed out that I was quite strong and would I consider entering a strongwoman contest! I entered Worthing’s strongest woman 2016 and having not had much training I surprised myself and came 2nd, I was hooked!
Enough was enough I was going to make a change before it was too late! I embarked on a clean eating a gym regime and fell in love with weightlifting.
I have gone on to compete and place in the following competitions:
Sussex strongest woman 2016- opens category 2nd place
The southern qualifiers for England’s strongest woman 2017 – 2nd place in the opens category and qualifying for a place to the finals on the 11th August 2017
Zeus Gym Hastings strongest woman 2017 – 1st place.
Sturdy By Design Ambassador Program
At Sturdy By Design we understand that there is no better way to get genuine feedback on a product than from someone with experience.
Our Ambassadors are used to training hard and can easily tell you a good pair of leggings from a bad pair so we’re very proud that they are confident enough in our products to take on the positions of a Sturdy By Design Ambassador.
Check out their biography’s and find out a bit more about them.
Britain’s Strongest Woman
Guinness World Record Holder
Never a sporty child, i’d grown in to a pretty unfit adult. With 2 children and a business to run I was always able to find an excuse not to exercise but a spur of the moment decision aged 39 to enter the Great North Run meant that I had to get my act together and my trainers on.
